Hunt Library in Falls Village will host Master Wildlife Conservationist Ginny Apple’s informative talk on spirit animals and Native American cultural traditions.  In certain spiritual traditions, a spirit animal helps guide or protect a person on a journey and whose characteristics that person shares or admires.  This program is part of the group art exhibition, Spirit Animals, featuring 45 local artists which is on display at the Library through November 30, beginning with a reception on Saturday, October 26, 4-6PM.  These events are free and intended for all ages.  For reserve seating, call 860-824-7424 or visit huntlibrary.org ( http://huntlibrary.org/ ).  63 Main Street, Falls Village, CT 06031.\nGinny Apple, a Master Wildlife Conservationist with the State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), is a native Texan and one of the first full-time women sportswriters in the country.  A move to the middle of the woods in Barkhamsted, surrounded by Peoples State Forest, brought her into an environment filled with bears and other wildlife. She observes a large population of Black Bears and supplies field notes and photographs on them to DEEP bear biologists. Her affinity for this magnificent creature led her out west to participate in a Grizzly research mission in Montana and to become a Master Wildlife Conservationist with the State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.\n
