Each event, called an “AquaBlitz,” will pair community members with environmental educators and scientists to learn about what is living in and around urban waterways.\nThe events will focus on the Fall Kill Creek in Poughkeepsie, Quassaick Creek in Newburgh, and a wetland in Kingston. In addition to providing information about urban ecology, the event organizers will share ways for participants to get involved in watershed groups and other efforts to protect these Hudson River tributaries.
