John Coston, The Lakeville Journal’s New Editor, to speak at Noble Horizons

On April 30 at 11 am, Noble Horizons will host a program with John Coston, the new editor of The Lakeville Journal. John will discuss his deep commitment to community journalism and how it will inform his leadership of The Lakeville Journal.

Coston spent 33 years as a journalist with The Wall Street Journal, is a published author, and has been in the northwest corner for close to 40 years. While at The Wall Street Journal Coston was deputy foreign editor, markets editor, and national news editor. In The Lakeville Journal’s April 7 announcement of Coston’s new role, he said, “I believe people want to know…what’s going on in their communities. And it’s getting harder to find that out. So, community journalism is vital to an informed public.”

Coston is a graduate of Columbia University and lives on a farm in East Canaan where he raises sheep. His wife, Bridget, is the daughter of former Lakeville Journal columnist, Hatsy Taylor.
