Feel Good Haus brings a holistic approach to wellness to the Berkshires
“True self-care isn’t about grand gestures – it’s found in small intentional moments,” says Tricia MacKenzie, the founder of Feel Good Haus in Great Barrington, MA. Prior to opening Feel Good Haus at 38 Railroad Street, Tricia was balancing a full-time career as a marketing executive, parenting two children, and being the primary caregiver for her terminally ill elderly parents – all at the same time. Life became a “relentless cycle” of doing things for others, with no space to pause or recharge.
Through that experience, Tricia had a powerful breakthrough that would later become Feel Good Haus, a modern apothecary and wellness shop that opened on December 4, 2025. “More than a brand – it’s a movement dedicated to self-care and mental well-being.”
Tricia curates high-quality self-care products and plans wellness experiences designed to help people pause, restore, and connect, both with themselves and with others. “My goal is simple: ‘feeling good’ is not just a wish, but can be a daily reality. Since opening, it’s been incredible to watch the community embrace a destination dedicated to wellness and natural self-care.”
A modern apothecary with natural roots
Originally from Boston, Tricia was initially drawn to the Berkshires because of its vibrant arts community, natural beauty, and rich creative energy. She found Great Barrington to be the perfect place to establish a space that encourages wellness, mindfulness, and self-care. For Tricia, being located in a town that “values local businesses and community makes all the difference for a destination like Feel Good Haus.”
Feel Good Haus bridges an apothecary with modern wellness. On the shelves, you can find a curated apothecary-based selection of natural bath and body products; clean ingredient-focused skincare; botanical fragrances and aromatherapy; self-care essentials such as diffusers, eye pillows, candles, and weighted blankets; herbal tinctures; and thoughtful gifts – many of which are sourced from Berkshires-based makers.
“Every product is specially chosen for quality ingredients, sustainability, and the way it makes people feel,” Tricia explains. “All products are created in the United States, with a small portion from Canada. The majority of products are based on relationships with artisans, small-batch makers, and slow-life brands that focus on self-care.”
Building community wellness
Tricia aims to continue building a destination in the Berkshires that is focused on self-care and wellness – a place to discover, touch, smell, ask questions, and create meaningful experiences in-store. In the near future, Feel Good Haus also plans to host events, workshops, seasonal activities, and maker pop-ups that encourage community connection, engaging in discussions about topics that range from grief to menopause and beyond. Long term, Feel Good Haus plans to expand its offerings and deepen its overall connection with the community, becoming a hub for wellness and self-care conversations in the Berkshires.
“The biggest reward is sharing new discoveries and seeing people leave the store feeling uplifted, inspired, and cared for,” Tricia shares. “Knowing that the space and products help someone take a moment for themselves, feel good, or share joy with a loved one – that’s what makes the brand worthwhile.”
At its core, Feel Good Haus is a reminder that wellness doesn’t have to be elaborate. Whether it’s a five-minute ritual, a scent that shifts perspective, or a bath soak to soothe the body and mind, Tricia notes that self-care and wellness should help you feel good.
“Feel Good Haus isn’t just a store – it’s a destination to pause, recharge, and celebrate the small moments everyday,” she continues. “Self-care isn’t a luxury; it’s essential. Whether you’re shopping for a gift or treating yourself, everyone deserves to feel good. Let’s face it, we’re all going through something in our lives. The goal is to inspire wellness, connection, and feeling good every day.”
