Beauty trends of summer 2025
So, what’s going on this summer? What should you spend all of your money on at Sephora? What does your hairstylist need to do for ya? What are the right products for your skin? One cup of decaf coffee at a time, I searched every square inch of the internet to recruit the styles we need to keep up with this summer.
Makeup
Somehow, pastel colors have made their way back into our lives. The early 2000s trends have been sneaking up on us in our closets and now making their way back into our makeup bags. Colors like pastel purple, green, blue, pink, and nude are gorgeous colors for nails or eye/lip makeup.
For face makeup, we’re walking away from that matte look. The goal now is to go for a hydrated, nourished, shiny finish on the face. This year, makeup artists are recommending blush and loose powders with a glossy finish.

For the first time ever, my oily skin is in style.
We’re transferring from a sharp, sleek winged eyeliner to a more relaxed, smudged liner approach this season. Makeup artists explain that brown and copper liners do a beautiful job at complementing a pastel cheek or lip.
Grabbing an eyeliner pencil, dragging it across the eye, and smudging it out is what we’re going for this year.
Lip tints are in, and I am completely okay with that. Get your hands on those bright colors, and if you’ve never used a lip tint before, they’re basically like a stain that doesn’t come off. Best way to color your lips, in my opinion.
Hair
As far as styling goes, this summer, voluminous loose curls are in. Make your curls loose and make them big. Get your hands on some curlers to help set things the way you would like them. From the dollar store to high-end, hair curlers are everywhere.
For the ladies brave enough to cut a bob, they are in this summer!
Artists like Sabrina Carpenter brought oversized headbands back into style, too. She has it styled with her bangs out in the front and massive loose curls. Bold buns are also in, slick back your hair and toss it into a bun, and you are in style, ladies!
For colors, women are leaning towards warm blonde and the notorious Sydney Sweeney cool teddy light brown look.
Skincare
The skincare industry is prioritizing that natural, hydrated, youthful glow. So what types of products are they pushing out to keep people looking that way?
To start off, get your sunscreen. May it be hell or high water, your face needs sunscreen for protective purposes! So very important. Go for a sunscreen that has a dewy finish to provide that continuous glow all day long.
Most skincare professionals recommend a basic, straightforward routine. If someone is trying to sell you a seven-step skincare routine, please look the other way and put your wallet down.
A simple cleanser, eye cream, moisturizer, and sunscreen will do. Also? Body serums are in right now to encourage that dewy, moisturized look all over! Lather up and stay in style, please!
