Schedule of events
Each day has a series of events lined up. On Monday, April 28, the schedule includes events such as an 11am tour through the tulip gardens, a grape vine wreath decorating workshop, and an evening lecture. The lecture, which takes place at 9pm, is titled “From Lagoon to Legacy: Venice and St. Mark’s Basilica with Sevan Melikyan” and covers Venice’s origins to its zenith around 1500.
“Explore the city’s unique birth as a lagoon empire and its rise to power, with St. Mark’s Basilica as our guiding star. This iconic structure, one of Venice’s oldest and most magnificent, serves as a lens to understand Venetian artistry, ambition, and cultural evolution. This lecture unveils the historical backdrop that shaped the city’s early artistic achievements, setting the stage for Venice’s golden age to come,” the Mohonk website states.
Other evening lectures include:

- “The Gunks Ridge and Valley Towns Through Time with Ron Knapp” on Wednesday, April 30, focusing on the rugged topography of the Shawangunk Mountains.

- “The Art of Perception with Amy Herman” on Sunday, May 4, featuring an interactive program that engages participants in analyzing works of art as a vehicle to enhance their observation, perception, and communication skills.
- “The Bootleg Boom with Frank Marquette” on Tuesday, May 6, in which local theater director Frank Marquette will take participants through the active role that the Hudson Valley region played in the bootleg route between New York City and Canada between 1920 and 1933.

- “Washington’s Secret Six Culper Spy Ring with Robert Ulrich” on Thursday, May 9 will focus on Ulrich’s picture-filled story of how the spy ring operated during the American Revolution and how it succeeded in bringing about the final victory against English oppression.
