Hey kids, it’s good to see you all again. Joey and I can’t believe school is back in session and already three weeks in. Our kid sister started 3rd grade. We have confirmed she is officially a cool cat; she has an actual binder (not to be confused with a Pokemon trading card binder), a big kid locker, is switching classes this year, AND has the honor of now helping the “little kids” get off the bus. Mom and Dad attended Open House last week and got to see her locker and classrooms in purrson. We overheard them talk about this year’s curriculum, which seems impurressive – working on more reading skills, learning to write in cursive, and multiplication…just to name a few. Ellie is a purretty smart kid, so we have a feeling it’ll be another pawsome school year. Oh and did we mention Ellie is interested in signing up for basketball in addition to two dance classes purr week? Go Ellie!
As fur us, Joey and I will be sticking to homeschooling as we enter kindergarten…only because we aren’t allowed to leave the house. The 2026 – 2027 school year will be jam packed with observing diffurrent types of birds that flock the feeders furrom afar, studying the seasonal changes (so far we’ve watched Dad close the pool and started to put on our winter coats), mastering the art of catnapping, and purrhaps most importantly – keeping our paws to ourselves, Joey! This is all be a piece of cake, fur me anyway. I’m an angel; I growl when I see an unwanted guest outside (just yesterday I growled and hissed at a stick bug that was stuck to the screen), I already spend a great deal of time looking out the furront door, and curl up in the cutest little ball when I nap. I can already tell I’m going to ace this school year! Fur extra circulars we plan on spending more time snuggling on the couch with Mom – that’s a sure way to pass our classes!
