A Close Call
Mom loves her job and has received many compliments fur her advertising assistance. You might be surpurrised to know, but she sometimes jokes that she missed her calling in life as a doctor. She often knows how to treat certain illnesses without even seeing an actual doctor…the only thing she’s lacking is the white coat, official name badge, and the authority to write purrescriptions. Whelp, recently I stumped Mom and she threatened to take me to the veterinary urgent care.
You’re purrobably wondering why my ear is pointing sideways and I have a miserable look on my face. Well, while grooming I inadvertently scratched my ear a little too hard and it got red and swollen. Mom furreaked out and immediately started to find the purrfect remedy to help make my ear feel better. Tons of kisses on the furrhead, soft pets, and a cold compress were all the tricks Mom had up her sleeve. Unfortunately, none of theses cures worked instantly. It was a close call, but luckily against her nervous judgment, Mom decided to forgo the hour plus long car ride to urgent care, to see how I’d be the next morning, and to then take more medical measures if needed.
I’m thrilled to report that I woke up the next morning with my ear back in the upright position and the look of discomfurrt whipped furrom my face. Now I’m considering going to medical school so I can purrescribe Mom a chill-pill should this ever happen again.
Until next time furriends. Stay happy and healthy!
