It’s Super Bowl Sunday this weekend, and I am a life-long fan of the PHILADELPHIA EAGLES! In trying to decide what could be an appropriate “wine of the week” for this very special occasion, I tried to find a wine that’s widely available out of the Philadelphia area. Couldn’t run with that one. There are some lovely wineries in southeastern PA, and it’s always fun to get away and explore these places, but not in early February. I did searches of whether Jalen Hurts or Saquon Barkley drink wine. Nothing there, either. So I’m going with the official wine of the NFL, Barefoot, and I’m staying with a green label, which is the Sauvignon Blanc. It happens to taste quite nice – bright and snappy and refreshing and zippy. Lots of yardage out of this one. FLY EAGLES FLY.
