Opening Reception: Friday, March 7 from 2:30-5pm

About Dan Howe:
Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Howe studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago and under the artist Tom Lovell in Santa Fe, NM. He received an MFA from Syracuse University and has taught at the University of Wisconsin, Scottsdale Artists’ School, and the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA.
For much of his career Howe specialized in portraiture for large university hospitals. In between portrait jobs, he took time out to explore the styles of magazine illustrators from a generation ago. These paintings, together with pictures of his wife Pam, and daughters Harper and Sydney, are represented in this group of pictures.
