Earth Day Plant Sale at Goshen Fairgrounds
By Audra Leach, Program Administrator, Northwest Conservation District
The Northwest Conservation District (NWCD) will host its 43rd annual Earth Day Plant Sale Event at the Goshen Fairgrounds, April 25th-27th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will have a beautiful and varied selection of native and beneficial perennial plants for garden habitats available for purchase. By choosing native plants, you are not just beautifying your yard; you are actively contributing to the health and biodiversity of our ecosystem and community.
You can pre-order plants online at www.nwcd.org/shop or by mail with a check if you have our catalog! Although pre-orders close April 16th, there will be over 100 other varieties of plants available on the days of sale. You can preview the list of what is available at www.nwcd.org/shop. Many plants available are beneficial to birds, butterflies, bees, pollinators, and wildlife. We also have a wide array of plants that will bring color and wonder to your landscape from early spring to late fall.
We look forward to seeing you and your families check out the multitude of plants that we have available. In addition to plants, we will also offer a plethora of free educational literature, coloring pages, activities for kids, and more! Learn more about the importance of native plant ecosystems, discover tips for creating your own wildlife-friendly garden, and explore the many ways you can contribute to environmental conservation. Staff, Master Gardeners, and community volunteers will be present to help you choose plants that best fit your landscaping goals.
