FESTIVAL OF TREES 2019

FESTIVAL OF TREES 2019
The Noble Horizons Auxiliary presents their annual Festival of Trees exhibit and Gala celebrating the 2019 Holiday Season.  The exhibit of individually crafted trees, wreaths, and Christmas decorations opens on Saturday, November 23, and is a free event for everyone to visit and enjoy, and ends on Saturday, December 7, with a Gala party, for which tickets will be sold.  The exhibit runs for two weeks, open every day from noon to 4 pm, Thursday and Friday until 6 pm.
The theme for this year’s Festival will be The Twelve Days of Christmas.  Many are familiar with the English Christmas carol enumerating increasingly grand gifts given by “my true love” starting on Christmas Day and going through all twelve days of the holiday season.  We invite you to join us in celebrating the conviviality of this special time of the year.
During the two-week exhibit the Festival hosts groups from local day-care centers, schools and nursing homes.  These guests enjoy seeing the decorations, listening to Mrs. Claus read a holiday story, sing familiar carols and enjoy refreshments while reminiscing about Christmases past.
Exhibits will be offered to the public in a silent auction which takes place during the two-week Festival.  Final bidding occurs on the final day at the Gala.  In addition to enjoying displays, visitors will be able to buy raffle tickets for two deluxe children’s toys or contribute to the Loving Tree which provides special services such as haircuts and manicures to Noble Residents.  While attending the Gala one can bid on tickets to restaurants, movies and local services and participate in a live auction of several special items.
The imaginative displays are created and donated by many individuals including students, merchants, residents of the community and organizations in the tri-state area.
The Festival of Trees is an important fundraiser of the Noble Horizons Auxiliary.  All event proceeds sponsor daily expenditures as well as extraordinary purchases for Noble Horizon residents.
