HUDSON, NY – Frederic Church’s Olana announces new tours and Museum Store hours for the fall and winter season. Enjoy Olana’s 360° views and the wintertime landscape for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The park is open daily, 8:30 AM to sunset. Tours of the Main House and artist-designed landscape are now offered Friday through Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM. The Olana Museum Store and Visitor Center hours are 10 AM to 4 PM to accommodate new tour times.

 

Olana is open Thanksgiving weekend. On Thursday, November 28, the landscape is open to the public from 8:30 AM to sunset and the Main House is closed. Guided tours of the Main House and artist-designed landscape will be offered Friday, November 29 through Sunday, December 1. The first tour starts at 11 AM and the last tour starts at 3 PM. Due to popularity of tours and the holiday weekend, please purchase tickets online at OLANA.org in advance of your visit.

 

A wide range of expanded tours and experiences, indoors and out, are available all season long. Guided tours of Olana’s Main House focus on various aspects including architecture, its collections, Church’s international travels, the Hudson River School, and more. The second floor of the Main House, including The Evelyn and Maurice Sharp Gallery, will reopen in Spring 2020.

 

Guided tours of the Historic Landscape focus on Frederic Church’s design of the farm, the lake, the carriage roads, the expansive views, and more. Landscape tours can be experienced via an electric vehicle, a guided walk, or a free audio tour which can be downloaded from the Olana website. Landscape tours are weather dependent and tour availability will be updated accordingly. Check the online calendar for the most updated information.

 

Olana is a public park, and access to the Historic Landscape is free of charge. Daily park hours are 8:30 AM to sunset. Ticketed tours of the Main House and Historic Landscape are available Friday through Sunday, 11 AM to 3 PM through April. The Olana Museum Store and Visitor Center is open Friday through Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM. Tickets are $15 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Members of The Olana Partnership can visit anytime and receive free 40-minute tours, and 60-minute tours for $5. Historic Landscape Driving Tours are $35 for all visitors.
