Founded in 1871, Dutchess County SPCA is one of the oldest SPCAs in the country.  It is a no-kill shelter, and the only animal welfare organization in Dutchess County chartered to enforce humane law.  Dutchess County SPCA is not a governmental agency, nor is it affiliated with the ASPCA.  It is an independent charity, funded almost entirely by private donations. https://www.dcspca.org

Freda

Cuddly and friendly 3-year-old Freda is looking for a human BFF who will appreciate her for the amazing dog that she is. A true goofball, she is sure to make you smile. This smart gal already knows the commands “Sit,” “Come,” and “Get a toy.” She is looking for someone who will play with her and take her for walks in nature.

If you are interested in adopting Freda, or any of our other available pets, please visit the adopt page at www.DCSPCA.org. You can also come to the shelter Wednesday through Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.

Founded in 1871, Dutchess County SPCA has been helping the animals of our region for more than 150 years.
