Happy Easter! If you want a wine to complement a classic Easter dinner’s feature foods like ham or lamb or turkey or even lasagna, go for a rosé. It’s not only a beautiful wine to serve, with its pretty pink color making a pastel-themed Easter table setting all the more elegant, but it has all the qualities that make for a delicious pairing with just about anything. Why? Because a rosé has the bright acidity of a dry white wine with hints of red fruit notes that soften and balance it. One of my favorites? A classic from Provence, France, where rosé is the go-to glass. It’s the Ame du Vin Cotes de Provence. Ame du Vin translates to “Soul of Wine,” and it’s aptly named. The Grenache-Cinsault blend yields delightful notes of everything from wild strawberry to jasmine flowers. This wine never disappoints. Cheers!
