Matt Bartolomeo’s feature film Dream to screen at the Moviehouse on March 12
Dream, a horror film shot at the Millerton Inn and in Pine Plains, NY, will screen at the Moviehouse on Wednesday, March 12.
Directed by Pine Plains native Matt Bartolomeo, Dream is inspired by the horror and thriller movies of the 1970s and 1980s. The majority of the film was shot over a decade ago at the Millerton Inn – previously the Simmons Way Village Inn – and tells the story of a group of strangers who get snowed in together and quickly begin experiencing eerie circumstances.
The film’s premise is as follows: “In the midst of a snowstorm, a young man awakens to find himself stranded in his car on a desolate road. Seeking refuge, he stumbles upon an isolated bed and breakfast where he and other travelers uncover chilling secrets linked to the inn’s shadowy past.”
The film stars Bartolomeo and his group of friends: Ashley Kilbride (Criminal Minds, Mike & Molly), Sean Adams (The Heap: A Novel, The Thing in the Snow), Matt Dingman, Corina Klay, Heidi Evans, Damien Allen, Dan Keeler, Brian Adams, Sonia Lynn, and Jenn Gramuglia.
Bartolomeo is a lifelong Dutchess County musician and filmmaker who has produced several records and films, including composing/mastering The Gospel Truth’s “Passin’ the Faith Along,” producing “Pete’s Jeeps” (Hudson Valley Film Festival 2024), second unit directing “Rally Caps” (starring Judd Hirsch & Amy Smart), and guest appearing on Warner/Discovery’s Expedition Unknown with Josh Gates. Dream is Bartolomeo’s feature film directorial debut.
Dream first premiered at The Stissing Center in Pine Plains, NY, to a full house and was an official honorary mention of the New York Odyssey Film Festival.
On March 12, Dream will debut in Millerton at The Moviehouse, followed by a Q&A with stars Matt Bartolomeo, Ashley Kilbride, Matt Dingman, and Corina Klay, moderated by Willis Williams.
