Picture Purrfect
Mom likes to keep updated pictures of us kids in the house and usually uses school pictures as the purrfect opportunity to do so.
Ellie recently had picture day at school and (unfortunately) her track record requires her to have to purrticipate in picture retake day. I’m happy to report that this year on the furrist try, her picture came out gorgina! (That’s how the cool cats abbreviate gorgeous.) Her hair sported soft curls, her smile is on point, and her necklace is purrfectly placed. Needless to say, Mom and Dad purrinted her picture and it’s hanging in the hallway fur all to see. Now, Mom is on a mission to update my picture, too.
I like to think of myself a purretty photogenic kinda guy, but Mom struggles trying to get the purrfect picture of me on the furrist try. I mean honestly, how could anyone not notice how Mom is trying to snap her fingers, make crazy noises, and say my name at the top of her lungs in her ridiculous cat mom voice just to get me to look at the camera. After taking 284 pictures and yet somehow not getting a single purrfect picture, Ellie took matters into her own hands and created this masterpiece.
It’s purrfect and looks exactly like me – expect fur a few minor details. My ears look rather large. I think they are smaller in real life? My head looks enormous compared to my body. I’ll have to double check next time I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror, but I think I have more than three whiskers on either side? My legs look a little nubby. And I’m not sure what’s going on with my tail?
Looks like I need to go to picture retake day this year after all.
