Founded in 1871, Dutchess County SPCA is one of the oldest SPCAs in the country.  It is a no-kill shelter, and the only animal welfare organization in Dutchess County chartered to enforce humane law.  Dutchess County SPCA is not a governmental agency, nor is it affiliated with the ASPCA.  It is an independent charity, funded almost entirely by private donations.

Sherman

 Sherman is a dapper and friendly 10-year-old 66lb bundle of adorableness! This handsome fellow is the happiest boy with the biggest smile, and he adores people! He will fill your heart with love and your face with his doggie kisses. Sherman loves a ride and would be excited to go on a roadtrip with you! He’s been working hard on his training and is looking forward to having a loving PAWrent who wants to continue to work with him so he can live his best life!
