Welcome February! If we’re not going to see much of the sun in the sky, we can look for it – and taste it – in a glass of wine from a sun-baked place. Like Greece. A lovely and widely available dry red to try is the Skouras Saint George. It’s made with the indigenous grape Agiorgitiko. While it’s a lighter-bodied wine, the palate explodes with ripe red fruits and a hint of cinnamon. If you’re a fan (and I am!), broil some lamb chops to serve with this wine and pretend you’re on an island in the Aegean.
