A Presidential election less than a week away, a second full moon on Halloween, and, oh, Halloween itself
– but not the Halloween any of us are used to.
What wine can pair with all of the above?
I was going to go with something “spooky,” but the Velvet Devil, Inferno, and The Walking Dead (yes, that’s a wine!)… all felt too ominous. Life is frightening enough these days.
So I’m going with something simple, affordable, and still delicious. It’s a 2018 Bacchus from David Gordon. Gordon is the wine director at NYC’s Tribeca Grill, whose wine list includes over 1800 selections. He knows his stuff, for sure. The Bacchus label was created by him to bring together some of his favorite Napa and Sonoma producers to fashion an exceptional wine at an exceptional price.
