A quick way to get there is with a Tuscan “stay-cation.” Cue up movies like Under the Tuscan Sun, A Room with a View, House of Gucci (or so many others); check out all the YouTube videos about Tuscany and its sites and culture, including wine; prepare an elaborate antipasto platter of Italian specialty foods; and, of course, drink Tuscan wines.

Chiantis are from Tuscany, and a great choice is the line from Ruffino. This vineyard produces several styles of Chianti, and the most fun way to try them is to choose several and try them side-by-side. The primary grape is Tuscany’s distinctive Sangiovese.
