Summer is officially here, and now that New York is opening up and outdoor gatherings in safe sizes are okay again, it’s a great time to hit the road and discover something new in your back yard.

At Stable Gate Farm Winery in Castleton-on-Hudson, Val Feldman and her team are growing French-American hybrid grapes to make wines, and they’re also making what they profess to be “really great mead!”

Neighboring Bee Hollow Farm helped establish hives on the property, and it’s all-local honey that’s then converted to mead with a 100% spontaneous fermentation process – raw and natural.

Stable Gate offers three flavors now – original, cinnamon, and artemesia, which is infused with estate-grown herbs. Bee-licious!
