Athena

Athena is happiness and joy wrapped up in a 52 pound brindle-coloured package.  Her pet foster parent describes his 7-year old charge as “the perfect dog.” She is housetrained, walks nicely on leash, and does not chase after the local squirrels.  She loves meeting the neighbors; to Athena, everyone is a new found friend.  She shows proper etiquette at her dinner bowl and is very gentle when taking treats.  She enjoys rides in the car and running errands with her people. Athena can be shy with other dogs who are too pushy, but she does enjoy being with other laid back dogs. Athena would be a perfect dog for a first time dog owner or someone who prefers a dog that is already trained. She is a great great friend and companion, ready with a smile and a full-body tail wag.

If you are interested in adopting Athena, or any of our other available pets, please visit the adopt page at www.dcspca.org. To meet one of our pets, you must have an approved adoption application on file. Those with approved applications can visit the shelter Wednesday through Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.
