Big Girl Bed
As we all know, my little sister isn’t getting any smaller, in fact it’s quite the opposite. Ellie is growing like a weed! She’s outgrowing some of her toys, clothes, and most recently, her bed. Dad was planning on keeping her in the crib until she turns 25 but Mom quickly vetoed that a few months back after conning Dad into converting Ellie’s crib into her (now) toddler bed.
As a result, Mom is on a scavenger hunt for the purrfect big girl bed fur Ellie. She is looking purrimarly fur a daybed due to the orientation of Ellie’s room. I’m all fur this idea – as it sounds like the purrfect place to catnap during the day!…Get it? In all reality, I couldn’t care less what the bed looks like, as long as it’s comfurrtable and has a nice blankie to snuggle with, that’s all that matters to me.
Anywho, Mom’s search has been anything but successful thus far and seems to becoming a little furrustrating. I couldn’t help but turn my ears back when I heard her suggest moving Ellie into the spare bed room, AKA my room! How could this thought even cross Mom’s mind? I don’t mean to sound hypocritical, but I don’t want to share a room with my sister. I guarantee you she wouldn’t be able to keep her paw off my toys. I’m also the older child, so doesn’t that mean I automatically get my own room?
One bad acne break out later, I’m thrilled to report Dad purromtly overruled Mom’s crazy idea.
Bad news is the big girl bed search continues.
