Chere amateurs de vin: When you read this post, think of me in Paris, which is where I’ll be. Magnifique! You, too, can transport yourself to France by simply enjoying a glass of French wine. Classique. My suggestion? A Bordeaux, bien sur. There are many affordable and delicious Bordeauxs available in your favorite wine store, so see what speaks to you. One that I’m fond of these days is Chateau Guillon, from Graves, on the left bank of the Garonne where Cabernet Sauvignon prevails. It’s ripe with dark fruit notes, cocoa, earth, and leather. It gets better and better with every glass as it opens up. And remember, L’eau fait pleurer, le vin fait chanter. (Water makes one cry, wine makes one sing.)
