This Saturday is June 24. Fast forward six months and it’ll be December 24. Yikes! Only six months to Christmas Eve! Whether that thought fills you with excitement or dread, there’s a wine for that. It’s from Montezuma Winery in the Finger Lakes, and it’s one of their most popular offerings. It’s called Cranberry Bog, and it’s made from 100% cranberries, so it has a nice pop of tartness while also being pleasantly but not excessively sweet. Get out your blender and fill it with ice. Pour in two cups of Cranberry Bog wine, 1/2 cup cranberry juice, and one shot (1.5 ounces) of vodka. Pulverize until the drink is the consistency of a slushy. Pour into chilled wine glasses and garnish with a small lime wedge. Sit in the sun and sing Jingle Bells.
