Hillsdale Pumpkin Festival
The 9th Annual Hillsdale Pumpkin Festival will take place at businesses throughout Hillsdale, NY and in Hamlet Park (at the corner of State Routes 22 and 23) on Saturday October 10, 2020 from 11 am – 4 pm.
Enjoy live music, seasonal displays and activities, a bake sale, a pumpkin pie baking contest, community tables, and this year, a “Gathering of Scarecrows,” a competition to create and decorate a scarecrow honoring “essential workers and hometown heroes.”
Tour Columbia County Sheriff’s “Remote Police Command” vehicle and sign up for their Child ID program from 12-2 pm. Scarecrows gather at Hillsdale Town Hall at 11 am and move down Main Street to Hamlet Park for display all day. Vote for your favorites, winners announced at 3:30 pm. Pumpkin painting for kids at Roe Jan Library from 12 pm (pre-registration required). All activities free, including entering scarecrow competition.
Hillsdale Fire Dep’t BBQ (pre-order required) available for pick up from 4 pm.
