Jewish Federation of Dutchess County to Host Holocaust Education Teacher Conference
On November 2, 2021 the Jewish Federation of Dutchess County in partnership with the FDR Presidential Library in Hyde Park NY will be conducting a Holocaust education teacher conference for teachers of grades 6-12.
The conference, titled “Never Again IS Now,” has a focused theme of “L’dor v’dor” which is Hebrew for “from generation to generation”. The objective of the conference is to emphasize the importance of passing the lessons of the Holocaust on to future generations. Teachers will be provided with Holocaust resources.
Presentations will be made by the following participating organizations: 3GNY, Echos and Reflections, U.S. Holocaust Museum, and the FDR Library Morgenthau Scholar.
Due to Covid, the conference will be held virtually from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Teachers may attend specific sessions or the entire conference. There is NO COST for participation and professional development credit attendance certificates are available for teachers who attend.
