MAKE MUSIC DAY RETURNS TO NORTHWEST CT

Make Music NWCT is making its third annual return to the Northwest corner through the Northwest CT Arts Council on Sunday, June 21st, 2020. Make Music Day began in France in 1892 as the Fete de la Musique, and has spread to over 800 cities across 120 countries. This event grew into an international celebration that takes place on the summer solstice of each year. People of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to create music at participating venues all over the region on the longest day of the year. The Northwest CT Arts Council is proud to host this event in the region again this year, after two successful Make Music Day events in 2018 and 2019.

Registration is now open for venues and musicians across Northwest CT at nw-ct.makemusicday.org. As situations develop with COVID-19, venues and musicians should use their discretion when signing up to participate, and get creative to host safe and socially distant performances. Venues are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible, and start promoting their participation in this event.
