Doors open at 7:00, Lesson at 7:30, Live music at 8:30 Please note the time change, the dances are starting 1/2 hour earlier. Sliding fee scale $20-$10. No partner necessary, beginners welcome and refreshments available. Come to dance or just to enjoy the music.
Dance the night away to the swinging music of The Twangbusters in historic Dewey Hall! A JUKE JOINT COCKTAIL FOR YOUR SOLE(S)! Jump Blues, Rockabilly and Honky Tonk swing with a heapin’ helpin’ of twang and sass, Miss Paula & The Twangbusters mix up their own high-energy dance cocktail of Retropolitan roots juke-joint rhythms! The Twangbusters are : “Miss” Paula Bradley (piano, lead vocals), Peter Bearup (electric guitar, vocals), Luke McNamee (Sax), Lance MacIntosh (bass), Bob Resnick (drums)
Refreshments available. This event is part of our Third Friday (mostly) Swing series at Dewey Hall. Every month a beginner swing dance lesson is followed by a live band and dancing.
