Founded in 1871, Dutchess County SPCA is one of the oldest SPCAs in the country.  It is a no-kill shelter, and the only animal welfare organization in Dutchess County chartered to enforce humane law.  Dutchess County SPCA is not a governmental agency, nor is it affiliated with the ASPCA.  It is an independent charity, funded almost entirely by private donations.

Evie

Evie is the queen of DCSPCA’s Catland, and who wouldn’t want to adopt royalty? She’s a fantastic quiet companion to have in the room with you while you enjoy your favorite movie or book. Just gaze into Evie’s magnificent golden eyes and she will share with you the secrets of the universe.

Her ideal place of residence is a home where there are no children under the age of 13. She’s looking for patient PAW-rents who will let her be independent, while appreciating her regal presence.
