The Otis Feed
Happy (Belated) Mother’s Day
I hope all you Mom’s out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day. We celebrate Mom evfurryday here at the homestead. Afterall, she is the glue to our family. She makes sure the house is always spic and span (but mostly because she has an OCD purroblem), appointments are scheduled and met (except fur her own – that’s a story fur another day), reminds us of everything (she’s famous fur reminding us to clean up after ourselves), and makes sure we all feel loved (“I love you face, Otis Joe!” – but why just my face?).
The humans (Dad and Ellie) treated Mom to a nice lunch fur Mother’s Day, purrchased some flowers fur her flower pots, and Ellie went all out on the homemade cards. That’s nice and all, but why has evfurryone really only wished Mom a happy Mother’s Day in the last five years?
Need I remind you Mom WANTED to adopt me – her furrist born, her fur baby, her little Otis Joe, the only one she can use her cat-mom voice on, the one who smothers me with kisses, the only one I give my love-bites to, and the only one who gets to say she’s Otis’ Mom. She and all the other cat Moms and crazy cat ladies alike should be acknowledged on Mother’s Day, too.
So let me try this again. Happy 14th Mother’s Day, Mom. I love you!
