The Otis Feed

I was recently enjoying one of my morning catnaps the other day, when what was once a pleasant slumber transformed -as happens- into a nightmare. After finally managing to open my eyes, I soon came to the realization that I was, in fact, caught in a living nightmare.

You see, my mother was on the phone with the vet’s office making an appointment for me to have a health exam for this coming Furrsday.

Not sure why I’d have to have a health exam? I’m feline fine; I still have an appetite fur my 3:30am breakfast, turkey, and paw-ty mix, I’m drinking my “water juice” as Ellie calls it, and taking the purropurr amount of catnaps.

I also overheard Mom say something about being vaccinated.

What in the world is happening?

This nightmare is getting worse by the second!

A car ride, being confined to a cat carrier, going into the vets office without Mom – due to COVID – and possibly getting vaccinated?!

I’m in indoor kitty, I’m fine!!!!

I’m going to hide in my top secret hiding place. Paws crossed Mom won’t find me here!
