Founded in 1871, Dutchess County SPCA is one of the oldest SPCAs in the country.  It is a no-kill shelter, and the only animal welfare organization in Dutchess County chartered to enforce humane law.  Dutchess County SPCA is not a governmental agency, nor is it affiliated with the ASPCA.  It is an independent charity, funded almost entirely by private donations.

Joey

Introducing Joey, a friendly 12-year-old mixed breed dog who is looking for his dream home. Sadly, Joey’s previous owner was no longer able to provide him with the care he needed, but he’s eager to find a new home to call his own.

Joey is a spunky and lively golden boy who enjoys his daily walks. He’s a great companion and loves spending time with his human friends. Joey is well-behaved and knows how to walk on a leash, and he’s also housetrained, which means he’s ready to become part of your family without any extra training.

Weighing in at 80 pounds, Joey is a big guy with an even bigger heart. He’s sure to fill your home with love and joy, and all he needs is a loving family who will appreciate his gentle nature and loving personality.
