ORGANIZATION
The shelter is located on Route 9G also known as Violet Avenue. From Route 9 (either the North or South), turn on to St. Andrews Road (also known as County Route 40A). Follow the road to end at the intersection of 9G. Turn right and make an immediate left into the shelter. The Adoption & Education Center is on the right. Turn left and travel to the end of the parking lot for the Medical Clinic and Intake Center. From the North, follow 9G south, we are ½ mile past Eleanor Roosevelt’s Valkill Estate on the left. From the South, follow 9G north, we are ½ mile from St. Peter’s Church on the right.

Let’s Make Home Happen for Zoot!
You will be the envy of everyone at the dog park! This five-year old, mixed breed male is everything anyone could ever want in a dog. He likes everyone: cats, dogs and humans. He is handsome with a sweet, laid back personality. He loves to play and go for walks, but he’s happy to spend an afternoon on the couch with you watching movies. Zoot is looking for a family who will include him in their activities and shower him with love and affection.
If you are interested in adopting Zoot, or any other available pet, visit the Dutchess County SPCA at 636 Violet Avenue in Hyde Park. Adoption hours are 12pm to 5pm, Monday through Sunday with extended hours on Friday until 7pm.
