Friendly and Baxter

Friendly and Baxter are dear old friends who’ve been together since Friendly was born. They are believed to be brothers from two different litters with the same parents and are a bonded pair.  Their human mom passed away recently and they now find themselves without the safety and security of their home.  Friendly is 10 yrs old and Baxter is 12. Both are FIV positive. Their lives are well documented as they came with a letter, photos of their life together and very extensive owner surrender forms.  They were obviously very loved by their person who brought them from Virginia when she moved to New York years ago.
Please consider giving these two mellow southern gentleman a loving home. They share a lot of tender little moments like head nuzzles every day, which is sweet to watch.  They both enjoy affection and being brushed. Friendly is very excited about breakfast everyday, and will patiently make ‘biscuits’ while he waits. They both have beautiful purrs.  They would do best in a home without other cats. Baxter is okay with making new friends but Friendly is just not interested in sharing his best buddy right now.

Since the COVID-19 state of emergency, the DCSPCA adoption process has changed. If you are interested in adopting Friendly and Baxter, or any of our other available pets, please visit www.dcspca.org.  After choosing a pet and submitting the online application, we’ll review the application then contact you to make an appointment to meet the pet you want to adopt.
