Since the COVID-19 state of emergency, the Dutchess County SPCA adoption process has changed.  The DCSPCA is currently open BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Pearl

Pearl is a beautiful white 9-month old New Zealand rabbit who absolutely adores people. Whenever someone approaches her cage, she gets very excited and literally jumps for joy. She would love hopping around your house (she can be litter trained) and cuddling with you on the couch. A notoriously healthy snacker, she enjoys nibbling on apple slices and greens.

If you are interested in adopting Pearl, or any of our other available pets, please visit the adopt page at www.dcspca.org. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the DCSPCA adoption process has changed. You should look at the website first to see if there are any pets you are interested in meeting. After choosing a pet, complete the online application and submit it for review. If approved, you and your family will be invited to make an appointment to meet the pet to see if you’re a good fit for each other. We are now open for walk-in hours on Saturday and Sunday, 12pm – 4pm. Check the website to make sure the pet you want to meet is in the shelter and not in foster. To meet a pet in foster care, you must make an appointment.

Founded in 1871, Dutchess County SPCA is celebrating 150 years of helping the animals of our region.
