Shelly is a 10 year old social butterfly who gets along with everyone.  Found as a stray, this  sweet, sassy girl is looking for a family who will appreciate her, love her and spoil her.  Shelly has kidney disease, so she gets fluids twice a week, but she enjoys the process because she considers it a spa day!
Since the COVID-19 state of emergency, the DCSPCA adoption process has changed. If you are interested in adopting Shelly, or any of our other available pets, please visit the adopt page at  After choosing a pet and submitting the online application, your application will be reviewed and an adoption counselor will contact you to make an appointment. The Dutchess County SPCA is now open to the public Fridays through Sundays, 12pm to 4pm. Entry is limited to two people at a time, so there may be a wait to enter.
