MacArthur

Greetings friends, I am MacArthur, the senior CFO (Chief Feline Officer) at the Dutchess County SPCA. I am quite the character, with a commanding presence, which is why I am in charge here. The staff know when I have been checking on them by the paw prints I leave on their desks, chairs, and keyboards. You will often find me in the marketing director’s office, helping keep her coat warm by sleeping in it. Sometimes I wrap the sleeve around me and pretend I am snuggling with my new owner. Other times, I climb into the marketing lady’s messenger bag, hoping she doesn’t notice and takes me home with her.  She has cats and a dog, and that is not my ideal.  I do not want to compete for your attention. I will be all you need, the best companion, a great listener and your best friend.

If you are interested in adopting me, MacArthur, or any of our other available pets, please visit the adopt page at www.dcspca.org. We are now open Wednesday through Sunday, 12pm – 5pm. Complete the adoption application before your visit in order to meet the pets you are interested in adopting.

Founded in 1871, Dutchess County SPCA is celebrating 150 years of helping the animals of our region.
