Author of The Great American Retro Road Trip: A Celebration of Roadside Americana – and executive producer for digital content, innovation, and strategy at WABC-TV Channel 7 – Rolando Pujol first received praise for a book he had written when he was in grade school. “In formal and informal capacities, I’ve been a writer my entire life,” he explains.

The powerful 13-minute documentary, Sweet Samara, which is streaming on Black Public Media’s Youtube channel as part of its “AfroPoP Digital Shorts” series, will screen at Foxtrot Farm and Flowers in Stanfordville, NY, on Saturday, August 9 at 6pm. 

With the release of his seventh studio album, Snipe Hunter, Childers once again surprises his fans by not giving them exactly what they want. Instead, he delivers a boisterous album that touches on everything from the tried-and-true subject of hunting all the way to Hinduism.

Opened on Saturday, July 12, and on display until Sunday, October 26, the Roeliff Jansen Historical Society is currently holding their summer exhibition, titled Sites to Celebrate: Local History Revisited.

For those of you who are familiar with my music reviews, you know that I am a music lover who tries to attend as many concerts as my wallet can handle during the summer months. Also, as previously proclaimed in a variety of show reviews, Saratoga Performing Arts Center is one of my favorite venues to attend. It’s an easy drive, the staff is always very friendly, and the venue itself is always incredibly clean and well kept.
