In case you missed National Pinot Noir Day on August 18, the weekend is a great time to get caught up.

Pinot is a cool-climate red wine grape that produces medium-bodied, vibrant wines with bright fruit notes on the finish. They pair well with almost everything as they’re light enough to be enjoyed with fish but big enough for barbeque. And if you want to chill them, go for it!

Try a locally grown Pinot from Tousey Winery or Sabba Vineyards, or go West Coast with a bottle from California’s Russian River Valley.

Watch the documentary The Holy Grail of Wine to see how it’s made, and share your experience on Instagram by including #nationalpinotnoirday with your photos.
