Founded in 1871, Dutchess County SPCA is one of the oldest SPCAs in the country.  It is a no-kill shelter, and the only animal welfare organization in Dutchess County chartered to enforce humane law.  Dutchess County SPCA is not a governmental agency, nor is it affiliated with the ASPCA.  It is an independent charity, funded almost entirely by private donations. https://www.dcspca.org

Obie

Super-smart, 7-year-old Obie knows commands including: sit, down, paw, come, stay, drop it, and roll over. A fun guy who would love a human BFF to play with, Obie is a huge fan of toys and tennis balls. After his evening walk, Obie picks out the toy he wants for the night and prances excitedly to his kennel. He has been at the shelter for 1 year and would love to find his forever home.

If you are interested in adopting Obie, or any of our other available pets, please visit the adopt page at www.DCSPCA.org. You can also come to the shelter Wednesday through Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.

Founded in 1871, Dutchess County SPCA has been helping the animals of our region for more than 150 years.
