I’m so glad we’re in Rosé season.

I love to “drink pink,” and there are so many wonderful rosés in stores these days.

As I was shopping – by label, I’ll admit – in the rosé section, a bottle jumped right out at me and I couldn’t resist buying it. I brought it home and put it in the fridge. With a summer dinner of brown rice salad loaded with carrots, peppers, snap peas, scallions and sundried tomatoes on a bed of greens, with a lovely local chévre from R&G Cheese Makers to smear on a baguette, I opened and poured my pretty pink wine.

It was everything I love in a rosé: clean, light, bright citrus notes with a hint of berry on the finish – elegant, refreshing, and tasty.

So what, pray tell, was this wine so perfect for a summer supper? Fittingly, it’s called Prophecy. Look at the lovely label. Irresistible.

The back label says Prophecy is the Goddess of Fortune.

I’ll drink to that!
