Founded in 1871, Dutchess County SPCA is one of the oldest SPCAs in the country.  It is a no-kill shelter, and the only animal welfare organization in Dutchess County chartered to enforce humane law.  Dutchess County SPCA is not a governmental agency, nor is it affiliated with the ASPCA.  It is an independent charity, funded almost entirely by private donations.

Sheeba

Sheeba, the gorgeous 14-year-old feline, is seeking a new home (possibly with some feline friends). She’s a bit shy at first, having spent most of her life in a domestic environment, but with a little patience and care, she’ll show you just how loving and affectionate she can be. Treats and gentle caresses are her jam, but she’ll also let you know when she needs some solo time to recharge her batteries.

Life with Sheeba is a lesson in compassion and kindness, a reminder that sometimes the quietest souls have the most to offer. So, if you’re ready to open your heart and your home to this regal lady, be prepared to receive a lifetime of love and gratitude in return.
