I’m looking forward to the running of the Preakness Stakes in Maryland this Saturday. Let’s see if Mage can win this one! I’m not a fan of mint julep, but that won’t keep me from having something fun in my glass. I’ve discovered Stella Rosa wines, and I like them because they are light (just 5% alcohol by volume) and made with real fruit. They don’t have a chemically or artificial taste that’s present in a lot of fruit-flavored wines. They’re refreshing and playful – you can mix them up in all kinds of ways. The Stella Rosa website is full of cocktail ideas. Here’s the one I’ll be enjoying on Saturday afternoon. If only I was in Maryland….this would go great with steamed crabs! Cheers.

4 cups ice
2 cups frozen peaches
2 cups frozen strawberries
Stella Rosa Pink
Stella Rosa Peach
Fresh peach slices for garnish
Fresh strawberries for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
Blend 2 cups of ice with frozen peaches and Stella Rosa Peach. Pour into serving glasses. Blend 2 cups of ice with frozen strawberries and Stella Rosa Pink. Pour into serving glasses. Garnish with a fresh peach slice and a strawberry.
