Does anyone know the store Five Below? The one where you can buy anything from a greeting card to a makeup mirror over to a greeting card all for under 5 bucks! Well, during one of my first times in the store I came across a book that was about something called Essential Oils. It was titled Aromatherapy.
The National Institutes of Health explains that aromatherapy is the therapeutic use of essential oils from plants for the improvement of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Well, let me tell you, this $3 book opened my eyes to an entirely new world that gives us new, natural ways to clean our homes while avoiding harmful chemicals, treat emotional challenges without using dangerous medications, create our beauty products, mix together natural perfumes, cure nausea, and clean our house! Stay tuned to see the full list of alternatives I have found when choosing Aromatherapy.

Emotional and mental wellness
The medication Alprazolam, better known as Xanax, was released on October 16, 1981. This med is a part of the class of medications, benzodiazepines. They’re known for treating anxiety, and seizures, however, they also get people severely addicted.
A study was done where neither researchers nor participants knew who was receiving the experimental treatment, research reflected that Silexan, which is the essential oil that is extracted from the lavender plant is just as effective as Lorazepam in patients who have generalized anxiety disorder.
Please have a conversation with your doctor before stopping your medication or incorporating essential oils into your routine.

Lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, Roman chamomile, rosemary, lemongrass, and black pepper can be combined into a carrier oil like coconut oil to apply directly to your skin. One drop of essential oils goes a long way–which is why the carrier oil is so important. Store your mixture in a glass roller bottle.

Household
Cleaning
Lemon, tea tree, lavender, eucalyptus, and peppermint are all awesome essential oil bases to use for an at-home all-purpose cleaner. Mixing an essential oil of your choice with vinegar and water will shine things up and leave your house smelling fabulous.
Pets
I kept this section to warn you: do not use essential oils on your pets!
How to use this stuff
Essential oils can be diffused in an aromatherapy diffuser, they can be sprayed when being used as perfume or cleaner, and they can be topically applied directly to the skin as long as you are using a carrier oil. Depending on what you are using the essential oils for will always determine the way you use them. However, in every case, you only need a very very little bit of each oil as they are incredibly concentrated. 1-3 drops are deemed appropriate.
