Founded in 1871, Dutchess County SPCA is one of the oldest SPCAs in the country. This shelter is no-kill shelter now and always. Dutchess County SPCA is not a governmental agency, nor is it affiliated with the ASPCA. It is an independent charity, funded almost entirely by private donations.

Every morning, 9-year-old Tortilla joyfully greets her human friends during breakfast time. She is a big time talker and always happy to hang out and chat with DCSPCA’s volunteers. Full of energy, Tortilla LOVES to play, especially with cat wands! However, yummy treats are the best way into her heart.
