Welcome to April – it’s both Jazz Appreciation month and National Poetry month. Nice! Did you know that Robert Louis Stevenson, author of Treasure Island (and many other books!), also penned the quote, “Wine is bottled poetry”? I would have to agree. One that left me with that experience and that is also appropriate for April is a Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley – Rainstorm. It’s a classic French-style Pinot Noir, light-bodied but full of bright red cherry notes and an elegant lingering finish. Its lean yet luscious style makes it a perfect accompaniment to everything from pizza to pasta to salmon – almost anything. Here’s a little ditty to enhance the experience: Rainstorm is red, its label is blue, I hope that you like it the way that I do. Cheers!
