Have you been to a farmer’s market recently? The fruits and vegetables are abundant and so delicious! Blueberries, raspberries, peaches, nectarines, watermelon, and almost any other fruits are beautiful and healthy additions to a glass of wine. Here’s one way I like to do it. Cut fresh strawberries into bite-sized pieces. Using wooden skewers, make fruit kabobs alternating strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Freeze them. Pour chilled wine into large wine glasses and add the fruit kabob spear. Sip and nibble. Repeat. Recommended wines for these fruits? A dry rose or prosecco – nothing too fancy but something tasty and dependable. The Gerard Bertrand Cote des Rose is a good choice, or for Prosecco, the LaMarca.
