Brotherhood Winery blends history and good vintages

But she’s definitely not just sitting back, and those ‘few’ animals have led to a host of things happening with them at the family’s Clover Brooke Farm near Hyde Park, NY.
“I went into this feeling I was the most qualified person for the position – who happened to be a Black female,” Columbia County Sheriff Jackie Salvatore said about her recent history-making election as the first Black woman elected to that position not only in that county, but also in the 400-year history of New York State.
“It’s not how old you are, it’s how you put in the time,” Michael Bucci said. At an age when many have retired, he is still putting in time at his Tomorrow, Tomorrow Sanctuary and Healing Center in Livingston, finding ways to help children and animals.
February is all about love and hearts. Granted, that usually assumes we’re talking about people, but animal owners know that love also extends to their pets.
As of this writing, the government shutdown has just ended. One contentious impasse involved potential reductions to Medicare and Medicaid. Another issue is depletion of health insurance availability. Much has been said about the fear of small, rural hospitals having to close as a result of these changes. A less-mentioned effect is, “Not only that, but you won’t have an ambulance to take you to wherever the nearest open one is.”
